Color Splash to Winning Spur!

In today’s world of technological advancements, the pros and the cons of these screens is something we all need to ponder about. A topic of such importance was given an artistic life by our champion participant in the Poster Making Competition hosted by GEMA. We recently interviewed Hridaan Chug, whose thoughts, reflected with beautiful colors on a mere sheet of paper are way ahead of his age. He clearly understands the increasing need for conscience as we step into a digital world at a much greater pace.

Talking to us, he also told us how he felt when he saw his name in the winning list. He said it overwhelmed him to see his name on GEMA’s website. He also talked about the challenges he faced while completing his project. He mentioned the size proportion to be a hurdle. To overcome this he recalled working for more than three days on the project before final submission. It enabled him to not only enjoy the artistic process but also learn a lot of new things alongside.

He expressed gratitude to his parents for their constant support and encouragement. He also mentioned that his mother is a digital artist so he takes a lot of his inspiration and lessons from her. Hridhan enjoys putting his imagination and thoughts with colours on the piece of paper. He also told us about his interest in writing which made him win GEMA’s Story Writing Competition last year. He is currently learning digital art with his mother. It shows how inclusive creativity is in his life. He mentioned that this competition helped him boost his confidence and eliminate self-doubts. He also explored various creative aspects from these competitions and how he can include constructive criticism in his life.

He gave a heartfelt advice of just enjoying the process of art and care less about winning or losing to all the future participants. We congratulate Hridhan once again and wish him luck for all his future endeavors!
